February's Menu

Promises are the uniquely human way of ordering the future, making it predictable and reliable to the extent that this is humanly possible.
— Hannah Arendt

Looking at the list of the things I ordered in January, I decided to make the following adjustments in February:

  1. Be specific about a project and what I want to do each month. My long-range plan of creating a hundred and forty-four, 12X12" pieces just sat on top of my list, too big to move. Just make one.
  2. Continue the project (e.g., taking daily photos) if I'm committed for the year, but make it better, step-it-up.
  3. If I've established a habit, it's mine. Take it off the list but keep at it (Morning Pages) and make room for something else. (!)

I've placed my order on my Months of Planning page and wait patiently, enjoying the view and the joy in my heart. Just as Tall Guy and I did this past weekend while waiting for our lunch order to be served at Three Fat Pigs in Waikoloa (photo above).
